The diversity of these applications often causes problems in determining the most suitable choice because each application has advantages and disadvantages, both in terms of user capacity, visual interaction, features, application size, and internet data usage. To address these issues, this study implements the Weighted Product (WP) method as a multi-criteria approach capable of providing objective evaluations based on the weight of each criterion's importance. The analysis results show that user capacity is the dominant factor with the highest weight (0.37), followed by visual interaction (0.23) and user-friendly features (0.16), while application size (0.11) and internet data usage (0.07) fall under the cost category. The WP calculation yields preference values that place Elearning (A3) in first place with a value of 0.341, followed by Zoom Meeting (0.241), Edmodo (0.135), Google Meet (0.134), and Google Classroom (0.146). Thus, Elearning is the most optimal application to support online learning, while the WP method has proven to be effective as a decision-making tool in determining the best alternative.
2025-05-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Efori Bu'ulolo, Serta Kurniawan Zega, Viktor Frank Zai https://journals.adaresearch.or.id/dss/article/view/101 Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dalam Pemilihan Surat Kabar Online Terbaik dengan Metode WASPAS 2025-09-24T17:22:49+00:00 Mesran mesran.skom.mkom@gmail.com Ahmadfauzy fauzya588@gmail.com Aniyanti Tafonao aniyantitafonao@gmail.com Mahesa Raihan Rifqi pasiqakurehando@gmail.com Setiawansyah setiawansyah@teknokrat.ac.id
The development of the internet makes it easier for us to get information, we don't have to buy newspapers or magazines to get information. We only use various social media to get information easily and quickly. This online newspaper provides many benefits for us in getting information, but in getting information online we need to be careful because there are also positive and negative impacts in this online newspaper. Sometimes they provide information that is not filtered first and are wrong in providing the information and the news is not clear so that there are often promblematics for many people in reading information on social media. So in solving the problems that occur in the selection of online newspapers, several criteria are needed including Reputation & Credibility, News Content, Journalism Quality, Platform Availability and Interactivity Level. So that in solving the above problems, the author needs a tool to solve the problem, namely SPK. SPK is a computerised tool in problem solving using real data in order to get or obtain clear and accurate information results. In this study the authors used the WASPAS method to find the final results accurately. So with that, the one who gets the highest rank in the selection of the best online newspaper is Kompas.com with a value of 1 and followed by Detikcom with an acquisition value of 0.76032.
2025-05-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Mesran, Ahmadfauzy, Aniyanti Tafonao, Mahesa Raihan Rifqi, Setiawansyah https://journals.adaresearch.or.id/dss/article/view/99 Penentuan Lip Balm Terbaik untuk Bibir Kering Menggunakan Metode ELECTRE Berdasarkan Preferensi Konsumen 2025-09-24T17:34:48+00:00 Cici Melisa Rizki Panjaitan cicimelisapanjaitan@gmail.com Angela Parhusip angelaparhusip15@gmail.com Lidiya Adeliya Nababan lidiyaadelia8008@gmail.com Natasya Pramuda Ananta tasyaananta705@gmail.com Abdi Rahim Damanik abdirahimdmk@gmail.com
This study aims to determine the best lip balm for consumers with dry lips using the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Réalité (ELECTRE) method based on consumer preferences. In the modern era, the growing awareness of skin health and environmental sustainability encourages consumers to be more selective in choosing lip care products. However, the numerous criteria involved—such as moisturizing effectiveness, price, ingredient safety, sustainability, and consumer preferences—often make the decision-making process complex. Therefore, the ELECTRE method is applied to assist the selection process objectively by considering multiple criteria simultaneously. This research involves five lip balm product alternatives, namely WARDAH Everyday Fruity Sheer Lip Balm (A3), EMINA Oh So Kissable Tinted Balm Stick (A4), Vaseline Lip Therapy (A5), Maybelline Baby Lips (A1), and Nivea Original Care (A2). The analytical stages include data normalization, criteria weighting, construction of concordance and discordance matrices, and the formation of a dominant aggregation matrix to determine the final ranking. Based on the calculation results, WARDAH Everyday Fruity Sheer Lip Balm (A3) and EMINA Oh So Kissable Tinted Balm Stick (A4) achieved the highest dominance value of E = 4.00, indicating superior performance in moisturizing ability, ingredient safety, and alignment with consumer preferences. These findings demonstrate that the ELECTRE method is effective for quantitatively determining the best cosmetic products and can serve as a reference for consumers in choosing optimal lip balm products and for manufacturers in developing products that better align with market needs.
2025-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Cici Melisa Rizki Panjaitan, Angela Parhusip, Lidiya Adeliya Nababan, Natasya Pramuda Ananta, Abdi Rahim Damanik https://journals.adaresearch.or.id/dss/article/view/100 Pemanfaatan Metode WASPAS dalam Pemilihan Coffeeshop Terbaik di Siantar 2025-09-24T17:26:44+00:00 Duha Lisa duhalisa02@gmail.com Yosia Meteu manulang2112@gmail.com Zain Nur Arif Nuh Asrafi zainisrf20@gmail.com Eka Irawan eka.irawan@amiktunasbangsa.ac.id
This study aims to optimize the decision-making process in selecting the best coffee shop in Pematang Siantar by applying the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. In the era of increasingly competitive coffee shop businesses, consumers need a clear and measurable guide to determine the most suitable choice according to their preferences. This research offers a solution by utilizing the WASPAS method, which is known to be effective in solving multi-criteria decision-making problems. The evaluation process is conducted based on five main criteria considered relevant by consumers: facilities, comfort, service, price, and location. Data were collected through surveys involving active participation from local consumers in Pematang Siantar. The collected data were then quantitatively analyzed using the WASPAS method to determine consumer preferences based on the relative weights of each criterion. The results show that Inhaven Specialty Coffeebar was identified as the best coffee shop with the highest WASPAS score of 3.2. These findings confirm that the WASPAS method can be relied upon as an effective and efficient decision-making tool in the context of coffee shop selection. This study is expected to provide dual benefits both for consumers as a reference in choosing a coffee shop that meets their needs, and for coffee shop owners in efforts to improve service quality, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, this research can also serve as a reference for future studies with broader and more complex scopes.
2025-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Duha Lisa, Yosia Meteu, Zain Nur Arif Nuh Asrafi, Eka Irawan https://journals.adaresearch.or.id/dss/article/view/102 Integration of LOPCOW and ARAS Methods for Selecting the Best Employees in the Finance Division 2025-10-02T05:22:31+00:00 Junhai Wang 340017@zjtie.edu.cn Setiawansyah setiawansyah@teknokrat.ac.id
This research is motivated by problems in the performance evaluation process of employees, which often still takes place subjectively and lacks a systematic calculation basis. This can lead to unfair assessments and the potential for incorrect decisions. To address these issues, this study employs a combination of the LOPCOW and ARAS methods as an approach in a multi-criteria decision support system. The combination of the LOPCOW and ARAS methods is necessary because they complement each other in producing a more objective and accurate decision-making process. LOPCOW plays a role in determining the criteria weights objectively based on the logarithmic variation of the data, and ARAS is used to evaluate and rank alternatives based on their proximity to the ideal condition. The LOPCOW method is used to objectively determine the weights of criteria based on relative importance, while the ARAS method is used to calculate the relative utility values of each alternative, thereby producing clear and measurable final rankings. The research results indicate that out of the six employee alternatives evaluated, Employee A2 ranked first with a score of 0.9879, followed by Employee A6 with a score of 0.982. These findings prove that the integration of the LOPCOW and ARAS methods can provide objective, accurate, and transparent results in ranking alternatives. Therefore, this approach can be relied upon as a solution to address issues of subjectivity and improve the quality of decision-making, particularly in a systematic and accountable evaluation of employee performance.
2025-05-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Junhai Wang, Setiawansyah
